Brighton & Hove Albion have had an excellent 2024-25 season under manager Fabian Hurzeler.

The Seagulls have bright prospects of securing European football, while they are also in the hunt for the FA Cup trophy. They have beaten the likes of Norwich City, Chelsea and Newcastle United to make it to the quarter-finals of the competition.

But they face an in-form Nottingham Forest side on Saturday, with Football Today predicting a challenging contest for them despite having home advantage.

Brighton didn’t make a major sale last summer and focused more on bringing in talents from around the world.

However, they could look to cash in on some of their top talents in the summer transfer window, which has been split into two due to the FIFA Club World Cup.

According to The Telegraph, Brighton are set to make a huge profit on Bart Verbruggen amid interest from Bayern Munich.

The Bundesliga giants are looking for a long-term replacement for Manuel Neuer, who has been at the club since 2011.

They are impressed with Verbruggen and are ready to make a move for the goalkeeper, who is reportedly rated at £60 million.

The 22-year-old started his career at Belgian side Anderlecht before moving to the Seagulls for £16.3m in the summer of 2023.

He initially shared first-team duties with Jason Steele but has now established himself as the number one keeper at the Amex Stadium.

This season, he has started 27 Premier League matches under Hurzeler, keeping six clean sheets and conceding 41 goals.

Moving to Bayern could be very appealing for Verbruggen as they are one of the biggest clubs in Europe.

The Bavarians could provide a brilliant platform to further develop his game and compete for major trophies.

However, it remains to be seen whether the German giants will be prepared to spend £60m to secure his signature.
