Islam Makhachev vs. Jack Della Maddalena will square off in a Welterweight contest tonight (Sat. Nov 15, 2025) live on ESPN+ pay-per-view inside Madison Square Garden in New York City, New York for UFC 320.
Makhachev’s Lightweight title reign was equally dominant and strange. It’s impossible to scoff at four-straight title defenses with three finish victories, but there were more deserving challenges than extremely short-notice opponents and a near-retirement Dustin Poirier. Nevertheless, the former pound-for-pound king will look to surpass his mentor’s legacy tonight by capturing a second title, a feat Khabib never attempted.
Jack Della Maddalena’s time as a dark horse contender didn’t last long. Injuries and layoffs produced an unlikely title shot for the Aussie power puncher, and he more than capitalized by beating the brakes off Belal Muhammad to capture UFC gold. There are still a lot of unknowns about the young champion, but this matchup is an opportunity to prove that his title isn’t going anywhere for a long while.
