Harry Hardwick is having a rough time.
The UFC Featherweight made the walk for his sophomore Octagon appearance last weekend (Sat., March 14, 2026) at UFC Vegas 114 opposite undefeated prospect Marwan Rahiki. After an entertaining and competitive first round, Rahiki rocked Hardwick badly early in the second and broke his jaw. Despite the damage, Hardwick continued to scrap for another few minutes to the bell, though his corner pulled the plug between rounds.
For his efforts, Hardwick was awarded the $100k “Fight of the Night” bonus and also picked up a fair amount of new fans. Nearly a week later though, Hardwick is the man with his jaw wired shut for the next month, so when a fan asked him if it was “worth it,” the former Cage Warriors champion offered up an interesting response and insight into the fallout.
“Was it worth it?” Hardwick pondered on TikTok. “That’s an interest question cause right now, it’s pretty f—king dire. My jaw is completely wired shut. My nose barely works at the best of times in the desert air when air conditioning is f—king with it; I’m waking up constantly cause I can’t breathe. I can’t eat anything. I’m dribbling a lot of stuff. There’s a lot of blood, and it’s going to be six weeks of liquid [diet].
“Was it worth it though? It’s kind of proving to be a yes in a weird way. Like, Hunter Campbell called me after the fight to heap praise on me. Sean Shelby made a point of getting up and coming by on my way out of the cage to let me know I’ve got another shot in the UFC … being in their good books is huge, especially on the rest of my career … being sound to them as a coach — which is my longterm plan — is massively important.”
Hardwick also mentioned that Campbell and Shelby wanted him to attend UFC London, so perhaps we’ll see him on Paramount+ in just a few more hours? It’ll be quite some time before we see him inside the Octagon proper, but if nothing else, “Houdini” has guaranteed himself a third chance at his first UFC victory.
