Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Middleweight champion Khamzat Chimaev made easy work of troublemaker and Brazilian jiu-jitsu champion Dillon Danis in his Real American Freestyle (RAF) debut tonight in the main event of RAF 10, which went down inside Chaifetz Arena in St. Louis, Missouri.
It took Chimaev less than one minute to pin Danis, and he did so with a slick but rare fireman’s carry.
However, the drama came immediately after the finish.
As Chimaev was securing the pin, it looked like Danis tried to lock up a choke and then did not let go right away. Chimaev pushed off Danis to get back to his feet, Danis kicked Chimaev, and then Chimaev kicked him right back.
And just like that, an all-out brawl broke out.
Check out the finish and the brawl below:
As expected, Chimaev and Danis did not get to address the crowd after the match because everyone was quickly rushed backstage.
Chimaev was successful in his RAF debut, and depending on whether the wrestling promotion decides to punish him for the post-match chaos, he has a whole slew of potential future opponents waiting for him.
As for Danis, he is now 0-2 in RAF. He lost via technical fall against Colby Covington in his debut (watch highlights) and has now been pinned by Chimaev in his sophomore outing.
At least he showed up this time.
