Andre Onana is set to continue as Manchester United’s first-choice goalkeeper next season, according to Sunday Mirror.
The 29-year-old’s future at Old Trafford has been a subject of speculation amid interest from the Saudi Pro League.
United are said to be open to sell the 29-year-old for a fee around £35 million, despite three years remaining on his current contract. But they have not received any concrete offers for the Cameroonian.
Manager Ruben Amorim would like to sign a new goalkeeper but the main priority lies in bolstering their options in attack this summer.
They have already wrapped up a move for Matheus Cunha and are now trying to add a new winger and a striker.
Onana moved to United from Inter Milan in a £43.8m deal in 2023, but has endured a disappointing spell at Old Trafford.
He made a solid start to the 2024-25 campaign, only to revert to his erratic form by December.
The former Ajax star also came under heavy criticism after his high-profile mistakes saw the Red Devils suffering an early Champions League exit in 2023-24.
He has made 101 appearances across all competitions for the Premier League giants, conceding 192 goals and keeping 85 clean sheets.
United have been linked with Aston Villa’s Emi Martinez and Royal Antwerps’ Senne Lammens.
But they are expected to move for any of them only if they manage to offload Onana this summer, which appears to be unlikely now.
