Tyson Fury made his highly-anticipated return to action last night (April 11, 2026) in a Heavyweight showdown against Russian bruiser Arslanbek Makhmudov inside Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, England live on Netflix.
There wasn’t a lot to write home about in this fight as it clearly looked like Fury hadn’t been in action in 16 months. While he did have some good shots throughout the bout, for the most part it was a lot of clinching from Makhmudov. The Russian big man never got much going, and Fury used his job to keep him at bay, then get in eventually to work the body
It wasn’t exactly Wilder vs. Chisora, but it was not pretty whatsoever. In the end, Fury was the one who landed more strikes and did enough to secure a unanimous decision win. With the victory, Fury improves his record to 35-2-1 and secures his first victory since defeating Francis Ngannou via split-decision in 2023. He also snaps his two-fight skid, which came at the hands of Oleksandr Usyk.

Now that “Gypsy King” is back in the win column and secured yet another hefty bag, Fury shifted his focus on Anthony Joshua, who was sitting ringside with his manager, Eddie Hearn, calling for and setting up a fight against the Heavy-handed big man.
The two men had been eyeing a fight against one another for some time now but their paths never seem to cross inside the ring. Now, fight fans might finally get to see the bout later this year thanks to the efforts of Turki Alalshikh. Joshua, however, was non-committal, saying that Fury has to come correct when the time comes before he agrees to the fight.
