The Premier League has officially confirmed six fixture changes after UEFA club competition schedules forced amendments.
The rescheduled games affect clubs involved in the Champions League, Europa League and Europa Conference League.
Premier League Fixture Changes
Recent announcements have confirmed several Premier League fixture changes for the 2025/26 season. Here is the updated schedule with the reasons behind each move:
Sunday, September 21, 2025 (14:00 BST) – AFC Bournemouth v Newcastle (Sky Sports)
Originally a Saturday fixture, this game was moved to Sunday due to Newcastle’s Champions League participation earlier that week.
Saturday, September 27, 2025 (20:00 BST) – Tottenham v Wolves (Sky Sports)
Spurs’ Champions League involvement the following Tuesday forced this fixture into the later Saturday slot.
Sunday, September 28, 2025 (14:00 BST) – Aston Villa v Fulham (Sky Sports)
Villa’s Europa League clash meant their Premier League meeting with Fulham had to be pushed to Sunday.
Sunday, October 5, 2025 (14:00 BST) – Everton v Crystal Palace (Sky Sports)
Palace’s Europa Conference League game on the preceding Thursday left too little turnaround time for a Saturday kick-off.
Saturday, October 25, 2025 (20:00 BST) – Brentford v Liverpool (TNT Sports)
Liverpool’s Champions League schedule means this fixture takes the rare Saturday 8pm slot.
Sunday, October 26, 2025 (14:00 GMT) – Arsenal v Crystal Palace (Sky Sports)
Palace again see their schedule altered due to Conference League involvement, moving this London derby to Sunday.
Why Have Premier League Fixtures Been Moved?
The Premier League works closely with broadcasters and UEFA to avoid clashes between European and domestic matches.
With more English clubs involved across the Champions League, Europa League and Conference League, fixture congestion becomes a major factor.
The knock-on effect also means several fixtures have been placed in the less common Saturday 8pm slot, including Tottenham v Wolves and Brentford v Liverpool.
Crystal Palace are among the most impacted clubs, with two fixtures — Everton away and Arsenal away — both rescheduled due to their Europa Conference League commitments.
Which TV channels Are Showing The Rescheduled Games?
All six of the rescheduled matches will be broadcast live in the UK:
-
Sky Sports: Bournemouth v Newcastle, Spurs v Wolves, Aston Villa v Fulham, Everton v Crystal Palace, Arsenal v Crystal Palace
-
TNT Sports: Brentford v Liverpool
Saturday 8pm Premier League kick-offs explained
The Saturday 8pm kick-off time has been used sparingly since its introduction but is increasingly being utilised to allow for maximum TV coverage.
Both Spurs v Wolves (27 September) and Brentford v Liverpool (25 October) fall into this window.
