Tottenham Hotspur will return to action on Sunday when they welcome Newcastle United in North London for a mouthwatering Premier League clash.

Spurs have dropped down to fifth following a series of poor results, while Eddie Howe’s men are occupying seventh spot in the table with 26 points.

Meanwhile, Newcastle United will enter the upcoming match on the back of a disappointing 3-0 loss against Everton.

The Magpies were the favourites against the relegation-threatened Merseyside outfit, but were stunned by their rivals at Goodison Park.

Dwight McNeil broke the deadlock late in the second-half before Abdoulaye Doucoure and Beto scored to seal a comfortable victory for the home side.

Eddie Howe’s side have been facing a lot of injury issues, but they were expected to pick up full points against a team like Everton.

Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou has plenty of injury woes this weekend. Their list of absentees for Sunday’s home clash include Ryan Sessegnon, Ivan Perisic, James Maddison, Manor Solomon, Rodrigo Bentancur, Eric Dier, Micky van de Ven, Ashley Phillips and Alfie Whiteman.

The Australian’s colleague Eddie Howe is also facing a lot of injury issues. Nick Pope is expected to be sidelined for a few months as he requires surgery on the dislocated shoulder. Meanwhile, Callum Wilson, Jacob Murphy, Sven Botman, Dan Burn, Joe Willock, Elliot Anderson, Harvey Barnes, Sean Longstaff, Javi Manquillo, and Matt Targett are all recovering from knocks at the moment.
