Not again!
The once-mending but often volatile relationship between boxing superstar Ryan Garcia and promoter Oscar De La Hoya, strained by a 2023 public dispute, has reached a new low.
That’s because De La Hoya leaked a private text from Garcia this past weekend, prompted by Garcia’s scathing Twitter/X posts targeting him.
Garcia’s text read: “First of all, f—k you, especially you for one disrespectful me with that sh—y contract [because] I lost but I’m your actual only current star fighter. You can suck a d—k and I know you already do. So f—k you. You can kiss my ass. I’ll beat Rolly’s ass and whoever. I can’t wait till I go against you again like I did with [Oscar] Duarte and … to see your stupid ass face again looking stupid f—k you and that stupid offer b—-h I’ll slap the f—k outta you just like Canelo and Berlanga.”
De La Hoya shared a screenshot of the text, commenting, “Unfortunately, Ryan Garcia is having another episode. Ten days ago, he spoke of God and finding his path, but tonight he sent this rant while watching his fellow Golden Boy fighters win. Bipolar disorder is serious, and I hope he gets help.”

Legal battles ensued as Garcia sought to exit his Golden Boy contract. His legal team claimed Golden Boy violated their agreement, citing a clause allowing Garcia to fight on pay-per-view platforms beyond DAZN. De La Hoya responded with a lawsuit to enforce the contract.
The pair briefly reconciled in early 2024 before Garcia’s bout with Devin Haney, but tensions resurfaced after Garcia failed a drug test and posted racist and homophobic rants online. De La Hoya further strained ties by blocking Garcia’s RIZIN fight in Dec. 2024.

Seems like Garcia might become close friends with CEO Dana White.
Nevertheless, “King” is coming off a loss to Rolando Romero and doesn’t have a return fight booked … yet.
