I probably give the edge to Street Fighter in the gaming department, though I will say Mortal Kombat from like ’94 through ’97 was untouchable.
I vote the Mortal Kombat movie from 1995 as superior to the Street Fighter trash with Jean-Claude Van Damme — but SF had an amazing anime adaptation that was incredible.
Hard for me to pick a clear winner between franchises.
