Featherweights Jamall Emmers vs. Lerryan Douglas squared off earlier tonight (Sat., Aug. 22, 2026) at UFC Sacramento LIVE on Paramount+ from inside the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California. In a significant upset, Emmers knocked out the rising puncher.
Douglas didn’t show Emmers a lot of respect in this fight. “The Gunslinger” marched forward, landing some early calf kicks but really hunting for big swings. He didn’t do a great job of building combinations, however. He was either firing singular jabs or chasing forward with alternating hooks.
Emmers, though on the wrong side of the power equation, remained composed. He timed Douglas with several jabs and starting working to time his right hand. Late in the first, a 1-2 down the middle caught Douglas stepping forward and rocked him badly. Douglas hit the canvas in a heap and covered up, forcing the referee to intervene quickly.

Jamall Emmers is a really underrated talent. Were it not for a questionable split-decision loss to Jack Jenkins, “Pretty Boy” would have seven wins in his last eight fights! As it stands, four wins out his last five isn’t too shabby, and Emmers has officially won three straight against a solid level of competition. Even at 37 years of age, Emmers is a tough out for most of the division.
As for Douglas … perhaps he flew too close to the sun? There was a ton of hype after his Contender Series and debut knockouts, but he looked a bit limited here and collapsed as soon as Emmers caught him clean. It remains to be seen if Douglas can rebound to be more than a fun action fighter.
