Bradley Barcola is scheduled to travel to Merseyside to undergo a Liverpool medical as his proposed move from Paris Saint-Germain nears completion. French newspaper L’Equipe has reported that Liverpool have an agreement with PSG for a final package worth around £120m, made up of £98.5m fixed plus £21.4m in bonuses, with the specific bonus structure expected to be finalised on Thursday.
The report states that Barcola is due to travel to complete the move and undertake the usual formalities, including medical tests. Liverpool’s website has separately carried media reports that the 23-year-old could travel to Merseyside for a medical once PSG give the green light.

Reports On The Proposed Fee
The reported figures around the deal have varied significantly over the summer. PSG had originally sought as much as £145m, but Fabrizio Romano said publicly that Liverpool were never going to meet that number. French journalist François Plateau then reported a verbal agreement worth in excess of £110m, with final details still to be settled before a medical. L’Equipe has since reported the final package landing at around £120m, with more than £100m of that guaranteed.
Those reports point to a transfer that is close to its final stages, although the agreement and the player’s medical remain part of the process before any official confirmation.
Why Bradley Barcola Wants To Leave PSG
Barcola refused a contract extension at PSG in late July, when two years remained on his existing deal, and he has been left out of matchday squads since. He joined PSG from Lyon in 2023 and has won the Champions League in each of the last two seasons, but started neither final, a limited role in the club’s biggest matches that reportedly drove his decision to seek a move.
Barcola’s Proposed Move To Anfield
Liverpool’s media-watch report said Plateau had reported that Barcola had been pushing for the move for several weeks and that personal terms had already been agreed, with the forward set to sign a five-year contract. The same report said the player was expected to travel once PSG provided approval.
Barcola is a France international and, according to the report, is viewed as a potential addition to Liverpool’s attack. He is not presented as a like-for-like player with Mohamed Salah, but the proposed signing would give Liverpool another wide attacking option.
Possible Wider Changes In Attack
The Independent has reported that Liverpool are also interested in signing Ismaila Sarr alongside Barcola, in a deal reportedly worth around £64m. Liverpool have also had offers rejected by Brighton for Yankuba Minteh earlier in the window, with Brighton maintaining they want to keep their winger. If Barcola and Sarr were both to arrive, Liverpool’s attacking options could change further before the end of the window.

The same report linked Tottenham with an interest in Cody Gakpo. Any movement involving Gakpo would depend on developments in Liverpool’s wider transfer business.
For now, the immediate focus is on Barcola’s travel and medical. The move remains subject to the final formalities, but the reports indicate that Liverpool and PSG are approaching the point at which the transfer can be completed.
