Dana White reacts to Herb Dean controversy, comments on Alex Pereira’s petition to have longtime ref tossed from UFC

That’s a decision that can only be made by the athletic commissions where Dean is licensed and “Poatan” would need to establish a level of incompetence that proves Dean is unfit for duty. I’m not sure a couple of missed fouls in the Brazilian’s UFC White House loss to Ciryl Gane is the smoking gun Pereira wants it to be.

“I don’t know … I don’t know the answer to that question,” said UFC CEO, Dana White, when asked if Dean “lost a step” over the years. “That’s not up to me, that’s up to the commission. I heard about [Pereira’s petition]. There is no MMA in my algorithm. Unless [someone] tells me, I don’t know.”
