On 1st March, MOUZ (formerly known as mousesports) announced that it was making a comeback to the Dota 2 professional scene after seven long years. MOUZ is one of Dota’s oldest teams, founded in 2007 and based in Hamburg, Germany. MOUZ was most widely known for being one of the most successful Dota teams during the 2009-2009 era.
MOUZ entered the Dota 2 pro scene following the conclusion of The International 2011 and have fielded some of the biggest Dota 2 players such as Max “qojqva” Bröcker, Andreas “Cr1t-” Nielsen, Wehsing “SingSing” Yuen, Kuro “KuroKy” Salehi Takhasomi, and late Alaan “SexyBamboe” Faraj in the past.
MOUZ announced an exit from Dota 2 in 2017 following a series of disappointments. With this return, MOUZ has officially disbanded and returned to the pro landscape a total of three times in its history.
MOUZ’s Comeback to Dota 2 Pro Scene
“After a long period of anticipation, we are thrilled to re-enter the realm of Dota 2,” stated CBDO Jan Dominicus. “The open tournament circuit, rich history, and great excitement present an ideal arena for MOUZ to leverage our collective strengths as a team.”
MOUZ’s new Dota 2 roster notably has three players from Team Tickles, and two other players who are on trial for its Dota 2 comeback roster. This roster is coached by none other than one of Dota 2’s most famous guide makers, Daniel “ImmortalFaith” Moza.
“Our main goal is to improve collectively and strive for excellence,” said ImmortalFaith.
He further added, “We are hungry and ready to put in all the hard work that is needed to do that. We will learn from losses and wins. We are committed to following a path that will challenge the best.”

In this roster, Ulnit, Force, and NARMAN last played for Team Tickles. Team Tickles have been an underdog in most of the tournament qualifiers. While the team could not qualify for the tournaments, it was certainly interesting to watch whenever Team Tickles was playing. Interestingly, this will be the first time for Force and NARMAN, who are from the Philippines and Mongolia, respectively, to play in the European region.
Supream^ last played for the KZ Team. This Czech midlaner was one of the most interesting midlaners back in 2017. Having been a part of major teams such as Alliance, and Ninjas in Pajamas, he brings a wealth of experience to the team and not to forget Supream^’s Invoker is an absolute delight to watch.
The last player on the list is Jonathan “Bengan” Hansson, who last played for popular Dota 2 streamer Janne “Gorgc” Stefanovski’s Team Bald Reborn.
As MOUZ returns to the forefront of Dota 2 competition, it is brimming with determination and ambition. With a roster full of passion, talent, and experience, MOUZ will certainly aim to be one of the best Dota 2 teams.
