UFC 329 FIGHT STREAK RESULTS!!! Get your pick in for UFC OKC.

Our beautiful Steve007 had his streak blown up like a certain Irishman’s knee this weekend. He’s back to 0 and JKWI takes his place (thanks to picking Holloway).

Now we have UFC OKC this weekend. Who are you picking?

UFC Oklahoma City Main Event on Paramount+:

185 lbs.: Dricus Du Plessis vs. Kamaru Usman

UFC Oklahoma City Main Card on Paramount+ (8 p.m. ET):

185 lbs.: Jared Cannonier vs. Christian Leroy Duncan
155 lbs.: Chase Hooper vs. Mitch Ramirez
115 lbs.: Tabatha Ricci vs. Fatima Kline
145 lbs.: Tommy McMillen vs. Alberto Montes

UFC Oklahoma City Prelims Card on Paramount+: (5 p.m. ET)

145 lbs.: Jose Delgado vs. Austin Bashi
170 lbs.: Jean-Paul Lebosnoyani vs. Seok Hyeon Ko
265 lbs.: Felipe Franco vs. Levi Rodrigues Jr.
125 lbs.: Alden Coria vs. Stewart Nicoll
265 lbs.: Alvin Hines vs. RJ Harris
125 lbs.: Dione Barbosa vs. Anna Melisano

Pretty tough, huh? I’ll go with Alden Coria. He upset Alessandro Costa (who has looked great since) and Nicoll feels like he’s just making up the numbers.

              UFC Oklahoma City Preview

Our main event tonight is Dricus du Plessis vs. Kamaru Usman in the Middleweight division. This is DDP’s first fight since he was totally dominated by Khamzat Chimaev last year. We last saw him looking pretty good against Joaquin Buckley. If Usman can get past du Plessis, then he might be an interesting addition to the title mix at 185 pounds. The champion, Sean Strickland, is someone Usman beat back in the Welterweight division.

The co-main event is Jared Cannonier vs. Christian Leroy Duncan. Cannonier turned 42 this year. He’s started to show his age, finally, against the top tier of UFC Middleweights. Duncan is on a hot streak, with two spinning knockout finishes in his last three.

The rest of the main card is Chase Hooper vs. Mitch Ramirez, Tabatha Ricci vs. Fatima Kline and Tommy McMillen vs. Albeto Montes.

The “Prelims” are headlined by Austin Bashi vs. Jose Delgado. There’s also Jean-Paul Lebosnoyani vs. Seok Hyeon Ko. That might be the “Fight of the Night.”

              UFC OKLAHOMA CITY PLAY-BY-PLAY UPDATES

              Tabatha Ricci vs. Fatima Kline

Round 1: Not a great deal of action through the first half of this round. They both throw single shots, but don’t connect with power. Ricci goes for a takedown, but Kline rides it manages to get some top position out of it before Ricci gets up. Kline gets a takedown again moments later. She takes the round.

              10-9 Kline

Round 2: Ricci comes out very aggressively and gets a flash takedown. She goes for another, but this time Kline side-steps her and ends up on her back. Ricci makes it to her feet, but Kline gets a good shot in on the break. Ricci lands a good combo, but Kline shrugs it off. She drahs Ricci down later against the cage and has a tight choke locked on as the round ends. A few more seconds and she would have won with that.

              20-18 Kline

Round 3: Kline lands some nice shots on the feet and then gets a takedown. She hangs on Ricci’s back and plays to the crowd before elevating her for a suplex. It doesn’t do any damage, but it is demoralizing for Ricci who is stuck underneath her. Ricci manages to stand, but eats a knee from Kline on the break. Kline turns up her striking in the last two minutes and has Ricci’s lip bloodied up. Kline finishes the round on top, total domination for her.

              30-27 Kline

Official decision: Fatima Kline def. Tabatha Ricci by unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27)

              Tommy McMillen vs. Alberto Montes

Round 1: McMillen gets right in Montes’ face early on, throwing heat. He doesn’t connect and actually walks into a good punch. Montes slips on a kick attempt and McMillen spends a little time on top before getting up and forcing Montes up. They trade on the feet and Montes knocks McMillen down! McMillen gets up quickly, though. McMillen manages to land a series of rights that has Montes wobbled, though. McMillen drops Montes to a knee moments later, but Montes gets back up. Then Montes drops McMillen to a knee with a counter shot! What a wild round! Damage on both sides but McMillen caused more.

              10-9 McMillen

Round 2: McMillen carries on his pace from the first round early in the second. He peppers Montes with shots. Montes doesn’t have the same counter-punching in this round. He’s getting chewed up. Montes is surviving these shots, they don’t have the same venom as they did in the first, but he’s offering very little in return.

              20-18 McMillen

Round 3: McMillen hurts Montes with an uppercut right at the start of the round. Montes is down begging McMillen to come to the ground. McMillen stays standing and lands some ground shots to the head. He then backs off and lets Montes stand. McMillen keeps landing punches. He mixes in a double bird, too. He hurts Montes with a shot to the body. McMillen keeps coming, he has Montes stumbling all over the cage. That’s enough, finally…

Official decision: Tommy McMillen def. Alberto Montes by TKO (punches), round 3 (3:29)

Austin Bashi vs. Jose Delgado: Bashi scored an early knockdown (not the first time we’ve seen that against Delgado), but Delgado responded with a bang, almost finishing Bashi later in the round. Things quietened down in the second round, but Delgado succeeded in forcing Bashi to fight his kind of fight. This carried over in the third with Delgado stuffing Bashi’s wrestling game and forcing him to have a fight on the feet. Bashi showed a lot of heart, though, and won the last round after finally getting the fight to the ground.

Official decision: Jose Delgado def. Austin Bashi by unanimous decision (30-27, 29-28, 29-28)

Jean-Paul Lebosnoyani vs. Seok Hyeon Ko: That fight lived up to the hype. Ko didn’t quite manage to do that, though. This was a close fight, but I had Lebosnoyani winning every round. Both men landed nice shots on the feet, with Ko doing good work early and Lebosnoyani matching that down the stretch. But Lebosnoyani exceeded everyone’s expectations and wrestling exchanges. His aggression in that department might have won him the decision.

Official decision: Jean-Paul Lebosnoyani def. Seok Hyeon Ko by unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28)

Levi Rodrigues Jr. vs. Felipe Franco: These guys slung leather to start this fight, with both men getting wobbled. Franco was able to parlay his big shots into takedowns, though, and enjoy some top position. In the second round he got on top of Rodrigues, secured full mount and then unloaded with ground and pound. The referee had to step in to call things off. Rodrigues complained that the stoppage was early, but I don’t think there was much wrong with the stoppage. Rodrigues was getting tagged over and over again.

Official decision: Felipe Franco def. Levi Rodrigues Jr. by TKO (punches), round 2 (1:40)

Ezra Elliott vs. Damian Anderson: That was a fun showing for the two debut fighters. Elliott ragdolled Anderson around the canvas from the get-go. All that wrestling activity opened up opportunities for Elliott to put Anderson in deep submission attempts. Anderson, a highly touted grappler, was able to survive those positions, but he couldn’t go from defense to offense against Elliott — who showed a breakneck pace with his takedowns.

Official decision: Ezra Elliott def. Damian Anderson by unanimous decision (30-27, 39-28, 29-28)

Alden Coria vs. Stewart Nicoll: You know you’re getting a good fight when you see Flyweights on the “Prelims”. Nicoll really brought it here, despite being the +1000 underdog. He had moments in every round, especially with his wrestling. But Coria just nudged ahead of him in each round. A lot of that was due to his superior striking. I had Coria winning every round and, on paper, that looks pretty unfair on Nicoll. Hopefully Nicoll did enough to earn another fight in the Octagon. Coria gets the W and looked like a good prospect, still, but he didn’t look as big a favorite as the odds suggested.

Official decision: Alden Coria def. Stewart Nicoll by unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-28)

Alvin Hines vs. RJ Harris: We got a good Heavyweight fight (the kind that ends within five minutes), with Harris cracking Hines with an uppercut early in the first round. That dropped Hines and allowed Harris to rain blows down on him until the referee stepped in.

Official decision: RJ Harris def. Alvin Hines by TKO (strikes), round 1 (1:40)

Anna Melisano vs. Dione Barbosa: Total domination from Dione Barbosa. She got Melisano down early and was a lead weight on top of her. She landed good ground and pound and then decided to focus on the neck. She got a few good rear naked choke attempts in before Melisano made it to her feet. As Melisano came up, Barbosa leaped onto her back and got her deepest choke of the fight for the win.

Official decision: Dione Barbosa def. Anna Melisano by submission (rear naked choke), round 1 (4:04)

Live stream begins at 5 p.m. ET. …
