Brendan Allen proved he’s still a top middleweight contender earlier tonight (Sat., Oct. 10, 2026) at UFC Vegas 122 LIVE on Paramount+ from inside Meta Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada, as “All In” pulled out a wild submission finish over Christian Leroy Duncan in the fifth round of the main event.
Allen, who is ranked No. 4 in the UFC’s jam-packed middleweight division, came into Saturday riding a three-fight winning streak. The veteran contender was hoping to prove he’s still on the rise and looking for a title shot in the future, but he was up against a tall and rangy striker coming off five-straight wins. Allen was going to have to put it all together to walk away with a win over Duncan.
While Allen didn’t make this fight pretty he certainly pushed the pace the entire time. He engaged on the feet, in the clinch, and worked in takedowns to gain some valuable top time. The later rounds saw Duncan regain some momentum and start to land his shots. Allen returned the favor in the fifth round, though, when he gained back control along the cage and sunk in a rear-naked choke. Duncan fought like hell to break free and nearly went out, but at the last second he tapped and Allen walked away with the huge submission win.
